Unlike its portable predecessors, Portable Ops was a full on stealth-action title, complete with everything that made MGS into a household name, including the movable camera from the recently-released MGS3: Subsistence, as well as several new gameplay additions, not the least of which being the ability to recruit and use other soldiers in lieu of Naked Snake (a.k.a. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, the fourth game in the Solid series, the second chronologically, and the first fully canon game on the portable system, was released in December 2006 on the Playstation Portable.
